Most of their colour scheme revolves around bronze/brass, black and gold. The rats are meant to be engineers and mechanics. The rats are based on a few key ideas, robotics, brass, and Steampunk. This again reflects their punk, rebellious style. The idea was to have a team that wasn’t necessarily dark, but more sly and mischievous.įor vehicles, they ride mostly motorcycles, adorned with black and gold. London is famous for a very large amount of diverse cultures and styles, which includes a typical goth/punk styling. The foxes are based on trouble-making rebels, as well as punk culture.

This links them back to medieval themes, as well as the idea of dark, gritty and old fashioned. Their cars are based entirely on medieval carriages and wagons. Like all the characters, crows are quite common in London, both in urban areas and the cities. By tying into a dark past, it connects the crows with London. Much of London’s history is quite dark, and haunted, which is what the crow team reflects. Their main inspiration was medieval London. The crows are meant to be themed around darker, more sinister ideas. For the colours, I wanted blues and whites both because they’re pleasing colours as well as because they tie into the colours of the union jack.

The cars would be classic British cars, to tie into the overall theme even more. Pigeons are very often associated with London, which is why I made them have such a theme.įor their vehicles, I decided on class cars, in pale cool colours. As you can see, one of their main themes is the union jack, this obviously ties into the idea of the UK. The pigeons are themed around lots of things, most notable a typical idea of a British citizen. From a gameplay standpoint, the corgis are not the fastest, but they have the most valuable power-ups. The carriages are all gold-plated, and very regal looking. Their colours are primarily gold and white, gold for the royal aspect and white to fit into the typical colour scheme of a corgi.Īs for vehicles, I decided to have them drive carriages, again this is directly inspired by their royal theming. Corgis are often associated with the queen, and royalty, therefore I decided to theme them around the royal family. Firstly, is the corgi team.Īs you can see, the corgis are themed around the royal family. All of these animals, I feel, have strong associations with London, or the UK.Įach team has a distinct theme, type of vehicle, and set of power-ups. I went for Corgis, Foxes, Crows, Pigeons and Rats. Animal characters are often times more appealing to younger audiences, therefore making my game hopefully more appealing to kids.īased on my mind map of London theming, I picked five different animals. This decision came about when I decided to make my game quite light-hearted, and family friendly.
